About Nee ...

Touching Fire and Nee.
In regards to her photography, the best description I can give her work is that it's simple. And, if it's not raw, it's at least under-cooked.
A great part of the thrill of photography is the challenge of being in the right place at the right time, with a camera. Therefore, most of her work is not enhanced.
Frequently her photos turn out exactly as she expects them. But, occasionally, she gets a nice surprise. A slip, a trip, a wiggle, or even an accidental trigger of the shutter, produces something totally unique and unexpected.
"Sometimes its the imperfection in a photo that makes it a beautiful." (Nee)
Photography isn't her only passion, she is a writer as well. Her first book is completed and in the final stages of edit and design, and she's got a good start on her second one. She also authors two weblogs, Nee's Desk and Squatch It!
She's a devoted fan and promoter of animal rescue and spends a great deal of time with her "girls", Touching Fire and Little Star. Both are rescued mares that she and her husband, Greg, adopted a few years ago. Nee's had a serious struggle with maintaining good health, since she was born. Spending time with horses has brought about a great deal of healing for her, emotionally as well as physically. At this point, she's not certain who rescued whom.

About femme ...

"Everyone has a story ... "
Although her career history has predominantly included work in the medical and funeral service fields, her first love was writing.
Sometimes she's promoting small businesses. Sometimes it's an individual or group that's working to restore the U.S.A. to a Republic of free people. Sometimes it's to shout it out for someone who's gone out of their way to make life more fulfilling for others.
"Not everyone needs encouragement or back-patting to do a good job, or the right thing. But often, when we encourage others, we find ourselves being uplifted and encouraged as well." (femmeflashpoint)
Both femme and Nee take a special interest in military veterans and their loved ones. The freedom to speak, write, work and worship weren't gained easily, nor are they easily protected. The section, To Honor Them, is dedicated to the recognition and appreciation of veterans and their loved ones.
Pack Rides, the Pumpkin Run Pulse, and femme's desk, are the weblogs femme authors. She's also a free lance photo-journalist and short story writer for Hubpages and Yahoo Contributor. On occasion, she independent contracts as a content editor. You can get to her works for these publications via the buttons provided lower on the page.
